Introduction to Photography 4 Week Evening Course

Monday evenings, 4.30pm - 7pm

This is a four week course, which will be held weekly on Monday evenings, 4.30pm - 7pm, starting on 8 April 2024.

Bring your own camera, smart phone or tablet and learn basic photography skills. Set in the magnificent surroundings of Gloucester Cathedral and its Close, use your newly acquired skills to take show stopping photos, then follow up with our award winning teacher in a classroom environment to improve your photographs.

Please note:
The ticket price covers all four workshops.
Refunds are not available if you miss one of the workshops.
The workshops will take place on Monday 8, 15, 22 and 29 April 2024.
There is a flight of stairs with handrail to access the Learning Hub.

Tickets are £20 per person, non-refundable.
Participants must be aged 19 years+.
Booking required.

This course is being delivered in partnership with Adult Education in Gloucestershire.

You may eligible for a free ticket if you are over the age of 19 and a UK/EEU resident in the last 3 years and one of the following: Unemployed/earning below £20,000 /retired; Learning disability; Mental health difficulty; qualified below a level 2 (less than 5 GCSES).

Parking
We are sorry that due to limited space, parking in the Cathedral Close is restricted to pass holders only. There are eight disabled parking spaces which are for use by Blue Badge holders on a first come first served basis. However, there are several public car parks within easy walking distance of the Cathedral.

  • Arriving by Public Transport

    The Cathedral is located in Gloucester Town Centre, so the best way to get here is by public transport.

    We are a 10-15 minute walk from both the train and bus stations. You can also use Gloucester’s Park and Ride.
