Visiting Choirs

Bring your choir to the Cathedral

Visiting Choirs regularly perform at services when the Cathedral choirs are on leave during the school holidays.

This provides a wonderful opportunity for choirs from around the country and beyond to experience the thrill of singing and leading worship in our magnificent Cathedral. It also gives congregations and visitors the chance to hear a broader range of singing.

If you are interested in bringing your choir to the Cathedral, please download our Visiting Choir Guide.

Upcoming visiting choirs

Borlänge Girl’s Choir and Borlänge Youth Choir
Thursday 9 April

In the beautiful region of Dalecarlia, Borlänge is one of the area’s main cities, with a strong and vibrant musical tradition. The two choirs were founded in autumn 2024 at Hagakyrkan, and this marks our first tour abroad. We have already collaborated with other choirs at Hagakyrkan, performing in both concerts and church services. The choirs are conducted by Maria Cervin.

Charterhouse, Surrey
Saturday 11 April - Sunday 12 April

David McKee is Director of Music at Charterhouse and an accomplished choral conductor and singer. Educated at Oakham School and the University of Exeter, he was a Choral Scholar at both Truro and Exeter Cathedrals, and later served as a Lay Clerk at Gloucester Cathedral. He leads Charterhouse’s Schola Cantorum, a distinguished chamber choir that sings weekly in the Gilbert Scott Chapel and undertakes regular cathedral services, concerts, and international tours. Alongside his work as a director, David maintains an active freelance singing career with leading choirs including St George’s Windsor, St Paul’s Cathedral, and the BBC Singers.
