The Monk's Hut is now open for takeaway

11.00am until 3.00pm daily from Monday 12 April

10.30am until 3.30pm daily from Monday 19 April

We are delighted to be extending our opening hours for the Monk's Hut from Monday 19 April. Our bespoke hut in the grounds of the Cathedral is open from serving hot and cold drinks, cream teas, cakes, snacks and ice creams for you to enjoy. There is plenty of seating areas in Cathedral Green where you can relax and enjoy your food and drink.

The Monk’s Hut may have to close at short notice and will not be open during wet weather so please accept our apologies if we are not open when you visit. Let's hope for a lovely sunny Easter week!

 

The Monk's Kitchen is now open for takeaways

We delighted to announce that from Monday 12 April the Monk's Kitchen re-opened for takeaway food and drink only. Picnic tables will be available on Lower Green for your use

 

Eating indoors from Monday 17 May

From Monday 17 May you will be able to eat inside the Monk's Kitchen and we will also be opening the Parliament Room again for wet weather days instead of the Monk's Hut.

We hope to be able to extend our opening ours in June. Please keep an eye on our website for updated information as we all emerge from lockdown.

Your safety and wellbeing is paramount to us and we have taken all safety measures necessary in line with government guidelines. Please note you are required to wear a face covering while inside the coffee shop. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Currently, there is no access via the cloisters.  Please use the door leading out onto lower college green at the west end of the Cathedral. Thank you.

Visit the Monk's Kitchen to find a delicious selection of hot and cold drinks, cakes, rolls, paninis, bagels, toasties, sandwiches and aftenoon teas.

We are proud to announce that we have 'Gone Green' following the arrival of our new recyclable cups and straws. Of course we already recycle all our glass, plastic, tins and cardboard - every little bit helps....
