Make the most of your time with us

Some of our Guided Tours have now resumed and are currently free of charge

To ensure that our Guided Tours are safe and enjoyable we are running some trials.  If you would be happy to provide us with some feedback about your experience, please ask at the Welcome Desk about joining one of these free Guided Tours during your visit.

Please note that those taking part in a trial tour will be required to wear a face covering throughout it (unless exempt).

Whether you would like to climb the Tower, explore the underground Crypt or find out more about Edward II's tomb, there's a tour for everyone at Gloucester Cathedral. Click on the links below to find out more.

All tours are subject to volunteer availability, so on occasion there may be short notice cancellations. If you are coming to the Cathedral for a specific tour, contact our Visitor Experience Officer on

We warmly welcome visitors from all over the world. Our guided tours are in English, but we have a Walk Around Guide (£2.00) available in the following languages: French, German, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Danish, Romanian, Czech, Russian, Korean, Japanese and Chinese. You can purchase a guide and a translation from the Welcome Desk when you arrive.

If you are making a group booking for non-English speaking visitors and plan to bring your own interpreters, please contact our Visitor Experience team via
