We’re excited to be bringing you a brand new video series, led by our brilliant volunteers!

Starting from Wednesday 28 July, we’re going to be sharing a series of ‘5 Minute Guides’ on a bi-weekly basis which aim to give you an in-depth look at a particular area of the Cathedral – topics span from the Kyneburga statue through to the angels high up on the roof of the Quire.

The first video will be led by our Volunteer Officer, Charlie Peak, and he’ll be discussing the masons' marks that can be found on the pillars in the nave. It will be available to watch here.

07:30Breakfast Club

Breakfast Club

Thursday and Sunday mornings 7.30am

Supporting the homeless and vulnerable is core to our values, our vision and mission and is realised through our Social Responsibility work. The challenges of Covid-19 and resulting restrictions have required different ways of working to help us build on our existing successes, but not without times of frustration and sadness that we can’t do more.

We are delighted that our Breakfast Club provision continues to run every Thursday and Sunday morning.  The dedicated volunteer team serve takeaway bacon rolls and hot drinks, utilising our outdoor spaces to ensure guests can observe social distancing when queuing, whilst still receiving a warm Cathedral welcome.

  • Breakfast Club runs on Thursday and Sunday at 7.30am-8.30am

  • Guests are asked to convene at the West end steps of the Cathedral where a queuing system is set up.

  • We ask guests to wear face masks whenever possible and observe social distancing.

Our partners Gloucester City Mission also provides a hot meal and outreach services for those in need.  Visit their website www.gloscitymission.org.uk for more information.
