Journey through Lent 2021: Gloucester Cathedral
We will be marking the season of Lent in a variety of ways in 2021, including:
Ash Wednesday: Wednesday 17 February 4.30pm
Live streamed Sung Eucharist with hymns
If you wish to sign yourself at home with ash on the forehead, or sign one another, at the appropriate point in the service, please have some prepared ash ready. This may be a burnt palm cross, or anything suitable. Please take great care with any preparation. You may prefer simply to sign yourself with your thumb or finger this year.

Invitation from Canon Nikki Arthy and the City Parish to join a Lenten Group
In addition, here is an invitation from Canon Nikki Arthy and the City Parish to a Lenten group, running twice weekly, considering Rowan William’s new book of reflections through the pandemic.
Candles in the Dark: Faith, Hope and love in a time of pandemic by Rowan Williams. This is a marvellous book, in short sections and is very accessible.

If you would like to be part of this group please email Canon Richard: richard.mitchell@gloucestercathedral.org.uk. We can also acquire the book for you and deliver it if you live in Gloucester.
