National Day of Reflection

National Day of Reflection

23 March 2021

Today is the anniversary of the first national lockdown; since then, millions of people have been bereaved, both as a result of Covid-19 and other causes. The anniversary is being marked with a National Day of Reflection, organised by Marie Curie, which invites us to collectively acknowledge the grief and loss that so many of us have experienced over the last 12 months.

As part of this National Day of Reflection, The Very Revd Stephen Lake, Dean of Gloucester, has a message to share. You can listen to it from 8.30am here.

We will also be taking part in a one minute’s silence at 12-noon, and tolling the bourdon bell to mark the anniversary. Then, we will be live streaming a special Evensong at 4.30pm, and all are welcome to join us online.
