Ian King - The Christmas Truce
Gabriel Fauré – Requiem

Gloucester Cathedral Choir performs the world premiere of Ian King’s setting of Carol Ann Duffy’s poem The Christmas Truce. This wonderful work tells the story of the unofficial ceasefire on Christmas Day 1914 on the Western Front. Paired with this is Fauré’s beautiful setting of the Requiem Mass – a perfect opportunity for reflection as the world commemorates the centenary of the Armistice.

Tickets £20/5 (students and under 18s free) available  from the Cathedral Gift Shop, 01452 768928 or click here to buy now
