Tower Tours
View from the tower
Are you reasonably fit? Can you climb 269 steps up and 269 down again? Are you over six years old? If so, join one of our Tower Tours and enjoy the view from the roof - on a clear day you can see forty miles across the countryside.
On the way up you will visit the ringing chamber and the bell chamber, and when you get down again you can claim a certificate (£1) to show that you made it to the top.
Admission and times
Please note that there are no tours during the winter months. The Tower Tour season starts at the beginning of April and finishes at the end of October. You are advised to check with Christine Turton in the Cathedral Office before your visit to avoid disappointment or contact the Cathedral Gift Shop on 01452 528753.
