Director of Music
Adrian Partington is a versatile musician, having achieved success as conductor, chorus master, pianist and organist. He was educated at the Royal College of Music, where he studied with Herbert Howells, and King’s College Cambridge, where he was both the Organ Scholar, and an Academic Scholar. He is also Artistic Director of the BBC National Chorus of Wales, Conductor of the Bristol Choral Society, and Conductor of the Chorus of the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.
His responsibilities in the Cathedral include training the famous Cathedral Choir, directing them for services, broadcasts, recordings and foreign tours. He will also be Conductor of the Gloucester Choral Society and Chief Conductor of the 2010 Three Choirs Festival.

Assistant Director of Music
Anthony Gowing is Assistant Director of Music at Gloucester Cathedral where he plays the organ for the Cathedral’s principal services and accompanies the Cathedral choir in their busy schedule of concerts, tours and broadcasts. He also assists the Director of Music in the running of the Cathedral Choir and conducts the Cathedral's flourishing Youth Choir who sing evensong weekly.

Music and Liturgy Administrator
The Music and Liturgy Administrator is Secretary to the Precentor and Personal Assistant to the Director of Music. She is responsible to the Precentor for the production of the weekly Orders of Service booklets for majority of Cathedral Services and for the compilation and production of the Cathedral Services and Music booklet. She is the first point of contact for choirs wishing to sing the services in the Cathedral. As Personal Assistant to the Director of Music she is involved in the administration of the choir, acting as Tour Manager when the choir is performing away from the Cathedral and is the Managing Co-ordinator for the Outreach Project.

Head Verger
Nick is responsible for looking after the inside of the Cathedral and getting it ready for services and events.
He is assisted by his team of vergers: Simon Fitter, Dickon Kelly and Edward Harrison-Smith.
