Angels' Delight
Anyone seeing Angels’ Delight advertised at Gloucester Cathedral could be forgiven for thinking the clergy are stocking up on retro 1970s puds. In fact, Angels’ Delight is a free fun activity for families during the Christmas holidays.
Armed with a map, clues and a pencil, children can go on an angel hunt around the Cathedral. The celestial beings can be found in glass, stone, wood, paint and on memorials.
When the hunt is finished, children can check their answers in the Cathedral shop and have their Angels’ Delight card stamped.
Angels’ Delight runs from 12 December until 3 January (closed Christmas Day and Boxing Day)
The Whispering Gallery and Great East Window exhibition will be open on Saturday 26 December from 11am until 1pm, and then from Monday 28 December to Saturday 2 January from 11am to 3pm. Admission to the Whispering Gallery and exhibition is £2 for adults, children free.
