Art Exhibition by Creative Connections students

On Saturday 2 September a display of artwork by students of Creative Connections, a partnership project by Gloucester Cathedral and Gloucestershire County Council Adult Education Service supporting adults in Recovery and managing mental ill health.

The project has enabled nine adults who are recovering from serious, enduring mental illness to attend regular art workshops where they could develop skills, gain knowledge, meet new people and work in a friendly group. A core focus of this artist led course was the development of individual artworks for display to coincide with World Suicide Prevention Day & local Suicide Prevention Events.

The artwork will be on banners around the site works outside the Cathedral,

The students exhibition Building History Together; Our Story Isn’t Over Yet will be open to the public in the Cathedral Cloisters from Tuesday 12 to Tuesday 26 September.
